- Oversized · from USD 3,000
Out-of-gauge on flat racks and Mafi
Cargo too wide or too tall for a container, blocked and lashed with chains and straps on 20', 40' or 45' flat racks, or on 60' and 90' Mafi trailers.
About these ranges. Indicative ocean-freight figures in U.S. dollars, not a quote or an offer. They change with the origin, the carrier, the sailing, surcharges and the cargo itself. Haitian duties, taxes, port charges and inland delivery are not included. Only the written quotation from CargoMax is binding.

Model year
Cars must be recent enough for the limit Haiti applies in the year of import, and that limit moves forward over time. Truck tractors have their own limit. Trailers, yellow construction machinery and specialized trucks with proven special equipment have not been restricted by year.
Indicative information, not customs advice. Haiti can change import rules, duties and age limits, and the rules on the day your vehicle arrives are the ones that count. Write to Import-hti@cargomaxintl.com to confirm before you buy or ship.

Shipping to Haiti, answered.
Can I ship a car to Haiti?
Yes. Most cars go RORO: a bonded driver takes the vehicle from your city to a U.S. East or Gulf Coast port and it is driven aboard. It can also travel in a container with other goods. Before buying, check the model year with our customs desk, because Haiti limits the age of imported cars.
Can I ship a truck, a bus or construction machinery to Haiti?
Yes. Trucks, buses, ambulances, fire trucks, tractors and trailers go RORO; machines that cannot drive on board travel on flat racks, Mafi trailers or as breakbulk. Specialized trucks and construction equipment have had no model-year limit, subject to the customs check.
How much does it cost to ship a car to Haiti?
As an indication, from about USD 350 for a small car to more than USD 1,500 for a large vehicle, depending on its size, weight and where it starts. Haitian duties and port charges are extra. The exact price is the one on our written quote.
How much does a container to Haiti cost?
As an indication, from about USD 800 to more than USD 4,000 ocean freight, depending on the departure port, the size and type of container and the port in Haiti. Pickup, duties, port charges and delivery are quoted separately.
Which ports in Haiti do you ship to?
Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haïtien and Saint-Marc. The port is chosen by the sailing and by where the cargo has to go in Haiti; our agents advise on the best option when you book.
Do you ship to Haiti from the United States as well as Canada?
Yes. Containers sail direct from the U.S. East Coast, and from Canada with a transshipment on the way. Vehicles and machinery are collected in 18 hub cities across both countries, from Montreal and Toronto to Miami and Houston.
Who handles my cargo in Haiti?
Our appointed agents in Port-au-Prince and Saint-Marc receive the cargo on the CargoMax file number and follow it through customs and delivery. Customs questions go to Import-hti@cargomaxintl.com.
